The regular dies trial piece in aluminum. These were deliberately struck to show how easily aluminum coined and for sale to collectors in cased sets. 3 of these cased sets were still intact as of 2014, but, regrettably, 2 have been broken up. Additional specimens are possible from Porter-Mehl 6/42; Stacks 8/76 ANA (light tarnish streaks and) NERCA 7/79 ANA in set. The latter is almost certainly the same as #5 as that sale contained 10 of the 16 coins needed to complete a set.
The listing in Pollock for a copper example P738 is believed to be an error. The Cogan May 1873 I. Wood sale piece is actually believed to be an example of J662/P735.
